One of the rulers that the Prince met in Agra was Mangal Singh, Maharaja of Alwar. The Maharajas of Alwar had a particular fine collection of arms and armour and they presented this extraordinary example to the Prince as a gift. A dedication to the Prince in Persian is inlaid in gold into the blade of the sword.
